According to my timeline on twitter and my dashboard here on Tumblr, Cassandra Clare has just announced that Jemima West has been cast as Isabelle Lightwood in The Mortal Instruments movie.
Cassie was also suppose to announce who’s going to play Alec but has been told to hold off telling the news for a while. You can read everything about it from the post I just reblogged from Cassie Clare.
I dont really know or have ever heard of Jemima West, but I have just seen photos of her, and I think she looks the part and she looks similar to the other actresses who has been dreamcast to play Isabelle so I guess that’s a good thing. Then again, I cant really judge since I haven’t read the TMI books (but Georgina has though).

Georgina and I would like to welcome Sam as the newest member of Compelled By Books. She just joined our book blog last night.
Please give your warmest welcome to Sam!!! WOOH!
Just so you know guys, she asked to join our book blog but of course, it wasn’t going to be that easy. She actually had to submit a book review and to agree on our Rules and Guidelines before she can officially join. Hoorah! for her for passing.
Okay back to Sam…
So that we can know Sam a little better, I am going to ask her a few questions, no pressure :)

Just read AnnaReads’s spoiler free review of The Golden Lily (Bloodlines #2) by Richelle Mead.
“As it progresses, it’s clear this series is just as stunning as Vampire Academy.” -AnneReads
This review probably made me a hundred times more excited to read The Golden Lily. I just want to scream and cry because it doesn’t come out until June 12, 2012.

I am going to admit that I’m not really that much of a fan of the Bloodlines series yet and the reason I wanted to continue this series is to read more about Dimitri and Rose but this isn’t about them anymore but it is about: Sydney, Adrian, Jill, and Eddie.
Don’t lie! I know some of you guys want to read TGL because of Dimitri, but I can’t blame you since I used to think like that but now I am just addicted to this series just like I was with Vampire Academy.
I’m a huge fan (I am also obsessed with it) of Richelle Mead’s Vampire World and would recommend you guys to check out her series Vampire Academy and it’s spin-off series Bloodlines.
You can check out my review of the Vampire Academy Series and the first book of the Bloodline Series: Bloodlines.

Just read this review of The Last Echo by Kimberly Derting and I want to read it now! LIKE RIGHT NOW! but I still have to read the first two books of the Body Finder Series. The story sounds so intriguing and dark because of this ‘girlfriend collector’ who killed out of the need for love. Totally reminds me of Stolen!
So yesterday, Veronica Wolff posted the cover copy of BLOOD FEVER!!!
that was basically me when I saw her tweet
and it also says on her website that the title of book 4 of The Watchers Series is THE KEEP!!! *cue more screaming and fangirling* and it will be released on April 1, 2013 *ugly sobbing* because I basically have to wait for about 9 monts til book 4 comes out but AHHHHH!!! AT LEAST, SHE IS STILL ADDING MORE BOOKS!!!
So here is the synopsis of Blood Fever:
THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME —
EVEN IF HOME IS WHERE THE DEAD LIVE.
It’s the start of the fall semester, and a new crop of Acari and Trainees have descended on the Isle of Night. Watcher training has intensified, and Drew has a new roommate named Mei-Ling. But Mei-Ling harbors a dangerous secret that drove the vampires to abduct her against her will. Drew knows she shouldn’t get involved, but she can’t seem to leave her roommate to fend for herself.
Luckily, Drew has other things on her mind—like vampire Carden. A blood bond to a brawny, eighteenth-century Scottish bad boy tends to preoccupy a girl. And though she’s still figuring out what this bond means, one thing has become clear: She craves him in a major way.
But then bodies start turning up on the island. All the evidence points to the existence of a rogue vampire, and the sinister vampire Alcántara is gunning for Carden, even though Drew has proof that Carden had nothing to do with the murders. Now she has to find the true killer—without endangering Carden, Mei-Ling, or herself…
My Reaction:
I love it! I am excited to pieces! I feel like it’s getting hotter in the Isle Of Night. I smell the stench of jealousy and lies *cough*Alcantara*cough*.
Carden, Oh Carden, I can’t wait to read more of him in Blood Fever because I feel like I didn’t get to know him that well in Vampire’s Kiss. I would definitely liked to know how Annelise craves him ”in a major way”. (I feel like I’m the only one who calls her Annelise instead of Drew)
I’m sort of disappointed by the lack of Ronan in this synopsis? He better not be one of the bodies that turns up because I will be destroyed if he dies. DESTROYED I TELL YOU!!! I hope there are more of him in the book even if Ronan/Annelise doesn’t happen, I would still want to read about him. I WILL SHIP RONAN AND ANNELISE UNTIL THIS SERIES ENDS! I don’t know why I still want them to be together because I think it’s obvious that they can’t be together *deep sigh*. DAMN RONAN AND HIS ACCENT!!!
Btw if you haven’t started THE WATCHERS series, you should start now cause this series is seriously addicting!!!

I may or may not have almost fell off my chair when I read this earlier. I screamed, I cried, and basically FANGIRLED.
I would love to see Before I Fall as a movie. I have seen ‘The Secret Life Of Bees’ and thought it was beautiful and I’m glad (for now) that she will direct it.
If you have not read Before I Fall, better read it now. One of the most beautiful books I have ever read and is one of my favorites too.
You can check out my review of Before I Fall here.
Cassandra Clare announced that she has another Shadowhunter series in the works that will take place five years after City of Heavenly Fire, the final installment of The Mortal Instruments.
Here are the basics:
Series: A trilogy
Setting: Los Angeles, 2013
Characters: Emma Carstairs, Julian Blackthorn, Mark, Helen, Carmen, Olivia, Tiberius, Arthur + more
Release Date (s): 2015 (Book One)
Synopsis (Book One): Los Angeles, 2012. It’s been five years since the events of the Mortal Instruments when Nephilim stood poised on the brink of oblivion and Shadowhunter Emma Carstairs lost her parents. After the blood and violence she witnessed as a child, Emma has dedicated her life to the eradication of demons and being the best, fastest and deadliest Shadowhunter since Jace Lightwood. Raised in the Los Angeles Institute, Emma is paired as a parabatai with her best friend, Julian. As Emma hunts those who caused the death of her parents, the trail they’re following leads back to those they’ve always been taught to trust. At the same time, Emma is falling in love with Julian — her closest friend and, because he is her parabatai, the one person in the world she’s absolutely forbidden by Shadowhunter Law to love. Set against the glittering backdrop of present-day Los Angeles, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches from the warlock-run nightclubs of the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica.

According to Cynthia Hand’s tweets last Monday “Unearthly” will not be a tv show in the CW network but Hand tweeted yesterday that this means that it opens the rights for a movie now.
See tweets here and here.
***
I was sort of disappointed that it wasn’t going to be a tv show since I think Unearthly would be perfect as a tv show but I guess, it was just never meant to happen.
Now that the movie rights is available, what do you think of an Unearthly movie?
You could also put your dreamcast through our ask box.
I want to hear your opinion!!!
Richelle Mead’s fans should read this if you missed the twitter chat today. Vampire Academy fans, should definitely read this cause there is one question about FORETOLD the Rose/Dimitri Russia story that Richelle Mead said she would write. Exciting!!! I started screaming when i read that. And more news about The Golden Lily which apparently will be release a week early. Instead of a June 19 release it will be release on June 12!!!! Oh and Richelle knows that a lot of the fans want Ben Barnes to be Dimitri which again made me scream and fangirl so hard.
