Disney Pictures and Offspring Entertainment holds the movie rights of the Matched Trilogy by Ally Condie and it will be produced by Adam Shankman’s company who also produced The Last Song movie which is also based on a novel of the same title.
Well, as far as I know, Disney and Offspring have had the movie rights for more than a year now. I guess since then there weren’t any news on the movie but earlier today there have been new developments in the movie, Adam tweeted earlier that he’ll be reading a new draft of the “Matched” movie. This basically means it might actually happen!!! That’s exciting news for Matched Trilogy fans!!
I guess with the upcoming success of The Hunger Games movie, the producers are more likely to make the movie since more people will be interested in dystopian novels/movies now.
I (Eunice) haven’t read Matched yet but Georgina has. I have read like a chapter or 3 of the book before but I abandoned it cause I couldn’t get into it and the fact that another book caught my attention. I’m not sure if I want to come back to it but we will see.

Review: First, I really love books with lovely and unique covers. That’s why I bought this and its has nice reviews too. I read this for like a day. For me, its really not the usual page turning to addicting novel but its fine. I finished it in a day because there was no wifi anywhere and I have nothing to do.
Back to the book, the features was great tho. I just felt really bad for Xander cause he was like the most perfect lover in the world but its still not enough. Maybe you can’t really have everything. Its like Hunger Games minus the games. Its both government controlled. You guys should try it tho, I may not like it like I loved Unearthly but I’m still gonna buy Crossed and Reached.
